HbA1c measurement with Mono S Method
The measurement of Hemoglobin-A1c is the most used method for evaluating the long-term control of diabetes in patients. The Swedish Mono S™ method has been used for many years to calibrate healthcare instruments that measure HbA1c. The Mono S method has greater resolution than both the Japanese and US methods and correlates well to the international HbA1c standard.
Now that Tricorn™ Mono S columns replace the older HR columns, their performance has been compared. The results showed no differences between the old and new columns to indicate that Tricorn columns are suitable for the calibration of instruments that measure HbA1c.
