SPA Imaging Beads - CCD Imagers
SPA Imaging beads are microspheres containing scintillant which emit light in the red region of the visible spectrum. As a result, these beads are ideally suited to use with a CCD imager such as the LEADseeker Homogeneous Imaging System.
Two types of core SPA Imaging bead are available – yttrium oxide (YOx) and Polystyrene (PS). A number of biological coatings also exist for each core bead type to enable receptor binding, enzyme, molecular interaction and radioimmuno -assays to be investigated.

SPA Scintillation Beads - General research
SPA Scintillation beads are microspheres containing scintillant which emit light in the blue region of the visible spectrum. As a result, these beads are ideally suited to use with photomultiplier tube (PMT) counters such as the TopCountTM or MicroBetaTM. Two types of core SPA Scintillation bead are available – yttrium silicate (YSi) and Polyvinyltoluene (PVT). A number of biological coatings also exist for each core bead type to enable receptor binding, kinase, molecular interaction and radioimmuno -assays to be investigated. Return to top
SPA Kits
SPA Kits are also available for a wide range of target enzymes involved in the mechanisms of signal transduction. Supplied as a range of either fully configured kits or bead and protocol combinations, SPAs are easy to automate and can be miniaturized, making them ideally suited to large research projects and screening applications. Color Quench kits are available for use with SPA kits if color correction on PMT counters is required.Return to top
SPA GPCR Kits
SPA G Protein-Coupled Receptor (GPCR) Assays are designed to reduce assay development time and deliver a quick and convenient protocol for the study of receptor-ligand binding.
