Steaming in place (SIP)
Steaming In Place (SIP) is a sterilization method using steam or hot water at 121°C. Chromatography and filtration systems as well as tanks and vessels can be configured to facilitate SIP sterilization. A selection of hollow fiber cartridges is also available that are possible to SIP sterilize.
- Standardized SIP configurations are available as well as totally customized SIP solutions
- To facilitate SIP, systems are configured with valves for steam and components able to withstand high temperatures. Temperature sensors are installed at several locations in the system
